Chelsea Turowsky (New York, 1989) is an American artist working in food and text.
Turowsky’s practice treats memory as map - with subjects of inheritance, collective history, and evidence as compass.
Turowsky is a kind of translator; she often compares the plate to the page, the execution of each of her menus not dissimilar from her written poetry. Flavor is her language.
Turowsky is based in Berlin, with a career as a chef and gastronomy consultant.
Assuming residencies at various restaurants and geographies, she focuses on Omakase dining and private events, often in unconventional atmospheres.
